UNIFIL chief visits UN positions, praises peacekeepers' commitment

On Monday, Major General Aroldo Lázaro, Head of Mission and Force Commander of UNIFIL, stated that he visited peacekeepers in different UN positions in southeast Lebanon over the past weekend. 

"Despite the circumstances," he said, "they remain committed to patrolling and other tasks to restore security and stability."

He added: "I am immensely proud of the work our peacekeepers are doing each and every day."
